It was an upset! In a battle of kingless strokes, a Compound Stroke took 1 st place over usually favored Deferred Strokes.
The winner with 7 votes was Triangle Theory by Ed Atkinson. Gary Ellison, George Hay, Mark Sokolovsky, and Liam Stephens voted for its fireworks. 2nd with 5 votes was Old Days, a Jim Loy correction of both Colossus and Oldbury. Don Myles voted for it. Tied for 3rd with 3 votes each were Turntable by Roy Little (who sadly passed away on October 4, 2021, during this contest) and Patience by Bill Salot. Lloyd Gordon (Canada), Slava Gorin (Russia), and Wilma Wolverton voted for Turntable. Voters for Patience were anonymous.
