Unofficial World Championship Checker Problem Composing Contest 68 – Checkerboard Images - Results

This contest was between three problems that looked like their titles. Two of them tied for first with three votes each. They were "Morning Star", by the late Ed Atkinson, and "Arrowhead", by Bill Salot. Lloyd Gordon (Canada) voted for "Morning Star", and George Hay voted for "Arrowhead", his 5th consecutive correct pick, lifting him to 2nd place on the International Voters' Ladder below.

"Leaning T", by the late Roy Little, trailed. Its 1 vote was cast by Liam Stephens (Ireland), who preferred its shorter solution.

Contest 68 had 153 visitors, 7 of whom voted.

This concludes contests with entries that initially display images on the checkerboard. It is hard to say whether these problems are better than those in Contest 67. They are by the same composers, but demonstrate different tricks and afterplay.
