This Slocum Stroke contest featured deferred triple jumps. The winner and new World Champion was Roy Little. His Slippery When Wet had 9 votes. It required White to make 5 preliminary moves before starting the pitches, matching the lead-in to Slocum's most famous problem.

2nd with 6 votes was Bill Salot's Trapper John. It culminated in 2-way triple jumps depending on Red's choice of defenses.

Jim Loy's 3rd place Trouble garnered 5 votes and corrected the following published game. Deferred strokes popularized by G. H. Slocum in the late 19th Century are still appreciated by composers and solvers alike here in the early 21st.

These four examples are all original, previously unpublished deferred triple jumpers hiding behind mesmerizing preambles. Their composers have all won earlier contests.
